About Rodeo Road Essentials

Our Story

Rodeo Road Essentials was born out of a love for horses, the western way of life, and a belief that what we put on our equine partners truly matters. From the dust of the rodeo arena to long nights in the barn, we know what it takes to keep a horse performing, recovering, and feeling their best — because we live it every day.

Our story began with a mare who changed everything. When our best horse, This Fling Is Famous, suffered two torn deep digital flexor tendons, it was a heartbreaking setback. She had opened so many doors for us in the professional rodeo world — and we were determined to give her the best chance at recovery. That challenge inspired us to create Angel Muffin Mud — the first step in our journey to develop natural, effective recovery and support products for equine athletes.

From Challenge to Creation

Another turning point came with our colt, 626, who battled a severe MRSA infection at just three months old. The infection developed in his neck, leading to high fever, swelling in his legs, and painful hoof abscesses. What followed tested our hearts, patience, and horsemanship — and ultimately led to the creation of 626 Abscess Away.

Alongside Simple Spray and Angel Muffin Mud, we watched these products play key roles in his recovery — helping draw out abscesses, bring down his body temperature, and reduce the swelling in his legs. That experience proved to us that nature, when used right, has the power to help serious recovery processes and support the body’s natural ability to overcome.

Our Roots and Experience

Rodeo Road Essentials is a family-owned, woman-owned company built on generations of horsemanship, hard work, and a passion for bettering the lives of horses. Everyone involved in our small but mighty team has had the privilege of learning alongside veterinarians, naturopathic doctors, therapeutic modality instructors, and other equine health and wellness professionals — knowledge that’s been passed down and refined over several generations.

We are proud to be first, second, and third-generation horse trainers, with hands-on experience across nearly every discipline in the equine industry — from colt starting and performance training to rehabilitation and rodeo. Our deepest inspiration, though, comes from the rodeo world itself — where the grit of the horses and the determination of the competitors remind us daily what true toughness looks like and what it takes to stay at the top.
